Really enjoyed our midweek sandwiches and cake. The vanilla slice was so big I had to eat it with a knife and fork.
We did our usual walk around the menus of Malton and settled on Deli as it looked different and the idea of eating Swiss chalet food in Yorkshire was appealing. The choice was a good one. I had the glazed duck breast, my wife had the salmon. Both were cooked precisely with a sauce that perfectly complimented them. Competent French provincial cooking served by friendly and helpful staff. The wine, an Austrian white? was zingy and the right temperature served with an ice bucket. The surroundings were rustic chic with some nice humorous touches. A very pleasant meal and we will certainly be back.
